Quanyails ID 2016

(Well, it's technically currently the final days of 2015.)

I've wanted to update my ID for a while now, but my time and motivation has been scarce. I technically finished this painting months ago, but I've never been satisfied with it. (It's a challenge when your perception grows faster than your ability). I figured that it was time to update my site ID, though, and this comes close to presentable?...

Well, the painting is decent at best. There are quite a few areas where I have my reservations.  For instance, while the painting might look decent at 100% or 50%, but scale it down to 25% and the thin outlines vanish. v_v I did not account for that when I worked on the piece, so the drawing probably is unattractive unless I have to state to zoom in otherwise. In addition, the anatomy of my character, while improved, is still off. The mouth still is quite rectangular rather than conical. The red hair tuft being lopsided is the byproduct of the 80-20 rule. The shading, also, is pretty 'meh' in both choice of color and application.

I was rather satisfied with the fur texture, but I would not suggest manually drawing it out.

Ah, well. This'll potentially motivate me to make a better ID down the line sometime. XD
